Refund policy
Bird Feeder ALTA is operated by COMMERCE ALTA INC., a Quebec-registered corporation based in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. We accept returns under the terms outlined below.
1. Return Window
Items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Returns requested after 30 days from the delivery date are not eligible.
2. Eligible Returns
Returns may be accepted for the following reasons:
- Defective products
- Items damaged during shipping
- Incorrect items received
- Unused products returned within the return window (change of mind)
Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition.
Opened bird food products (including seed, suet, peanuts, nectar, or similar consumables) are not eligible for return for hygiene and safety reasons.
3. Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the item and packaging. Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.
4. Return Authorization
A return request must be submitted to Bird Feeder ALTA before sending the item back. Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused or returned to the sender.
5. Return Shipping
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.
We recommend using a tracked shipping service. Bird Feeder ALTA is not responsible for lost or untracked return shipments.
6. Exchanges
We do not offer direct product exchanges. Customers may return eligible items for a refund and place a new order if desired.
7. Restocking Fees
We do not charge restocking fees.
8. Refund Processing
Refunds are issued after the returned item is received and inspected.
Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to be processed. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defective, damaged, or incorrect item.
9. Bundles & Starter Kits
Products sold as bundles (including Starter Kits) are treated as a single unit. All items included in the bundle must be returned together in unused condition to qualify for a refund.
